Nothing is more thrilling than being driven by the creative force that inspires my art. Gourds inspire me. I love to carve them, wood burn a design and add color. It has been a journey learning the tools and techniques required to change a simple gourd into a work of art. Because I’m an avid gardener, I’ve been growing my own gourds for years. So it is especially satisfying to turn one of my home grown gourds into a lovely work of art.

A native Southern Californian, I spent my career as a business owner serving the restaurant industry. Along with my late husband, I enjoyed extensive travel, boating and RVing, which I still enjoy today. All the while experimenting and playing with different crafts that brought me to where I am today.

As an active member of the Orange County Gourd group, I enjoy sharing skills, ideas and strategies with others. I’m passionate about what I do and honored that so many people like my work.

Currently married, retired and living in Westminster California.
